OpenObserve introduces synthetic monitoring in OpenObserve Cloud to proactively catch failures in critical user journeys after deployments, before customers report issues. Built into the existing unified platform (logs, metrics, traces, and real user monitoring), synthetic monitoring adds scheduled checks under the Experience section with no new tool to deploy.

OpenObserve supports five check types: browser, HTTP, TCP, TLS, and SSH, running from global locations, and browser journeys can be recorded rather than handwritten with per-step failure rates. Private locations allow checks from inside a network via a lightweight agent without inbound ports or exporting credentials. The feature is rolling out in early access.
