OpenObserve v1.0.0 is now generally available for [self-hosted deployments](https://openobserve.ai/downloads/) and on [OpenObserve Cloud](https://cloud.openobserve.ai/web). Highlights: first-class AI Observability, a bigger alerting toolkit, two new monitoring surfaces, and platform-wide performance work.

AI Observability adds annotation queues and datasets, [experiment workflows](https://openobserve.ai/docs/integration/ai/llm-experiments/), and a [Playground](https://openobserve.ai/docs/integration/ai/llm-playground/) for running and scoring LLM/agent requests, all without leaving OpenObserve. Alerting gets composite alerts, a curated alert library, and SLO burn-rate alerts on top of the [SLOs shipped earlier](/whats-new/2026-08-19-slos-and-alerts/); alerts and SLOs can also export to Terraform/OpenTofu.

Database Monitoring is new, and Synthetic Monitoring, [previously Cloud-only](/whats-new/2026-08-06-synthetics/), is now open source. PromQL queries are faster and ingestion holds up better under load.
