Yes. OpenObserve Cloud offers a 14-day free trial on the Pay As You Go plan - no credit card required to start. For self-hosted deployments, the Open Source edition is free forever, and the Self-Hosted Enterprise edition is free for up to 50 GB of ingestion per day.

The Cloud Pay As You Go plan includes the following default retention at no extra cost:

• Metrics: 15 months
• Logs, Traces, RUM, and other non-metrics data: 30 days

You can extend non-metrics retention at $0.02 per GB per additional 30-day period.

Additional retention for non-metrics data (logs, traces, RUM, etc.) beyond the default 30 days costs $0.02 per GB for each additional 30-day period. Metrics retention of 15 months is included at no extra charge.

On the Cloud Enterprise plan, you can bring your own object storage bucket (such as Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, or Azure Blob Storage) and retain your data for as long as you want. Since the data lives in your own bucket, you pay your cloud provider directly for storage and keep full ownership and control of your data, with no retention limits imposed by OpenObserve. No. All OpenObserve Cloud plans include unlimited users with no per-seat charges. There are no limits on the number of dashboards, alerts, or data sources you can create.

The Self-Hosted Enterprise plan is free for up to 50 GB of ingestion per day. This tier includes enterprise features such as SSO (Single Sign-On), RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), federated search, query management, workload management (QoS), audit trail, and sensitive data redaction. For ingestion volumes above 50 GB per day or additional enterprise support, contact the OpenObserve sales team.
